DMT, Diamond Machining Technology, is an innovator and worldwide leader in sharpening products. Proudly made in the USA, DMT produces tools used by manufacturers, small businesses, and individuals wherever sharp edges are needed – in the kitchen, in the garden, in the workshop, or in the great outdoors.
DMT approached our team at HSM with hopes of improving their search engine marketing efforts in terms of both organic search engine visibility and text-based ad performance. They were most interested in strengthening their inbound traffic, fostering time-on-site, and passing traffic through to their e-commerce storefront which would have a direct impact on their bottom line.
We worked closely with the DMT team to identify the most important keywords and phrases to their business. We then evaluated these high-priority keywords and put together the best opportunities for both organic and paid traffic. We developed a series of new keyword-rich landing pages structured for conversions and optimized some of their existing pages in order to improve the website’s overall search engine visibility. Generally speaking, SEO requires time to yield results, but in the case of DMT we immediately noticed significant improvements for many of these keywords.
In order to immediately drive search engine traffic to the DMT website we deployed a very carefully structured pay-per-click campaign. We structured the campaign using high-priority keyword groups for each of their diverse product applications, each keyword group receiving a custom designed landing page featuring company information, their most popular products, customer testimonials and more. After some detailed A/B testing and minor landing page adjustments we were quickly able to achieve very strong metrics for the ongoing pay-per-click campaign.
