What we did for The Langham, Boston and Virgin Atlantic

The Langham, Boston approached our team at Hide & Seek Media with a unique vision for a social media promotion. The Langham hoped to increase their online engagement with fans and potential customers, as well as increase their number of Facebook fans. In partnership with Virgin Atlantic, The Langham specially imported an authentic early 20th century London taxi from the UK to Boston. The taxi was painted the Langham’s signature pink and was branded with contest messaging and logo. As part of a 2-month long contest, the world famous hotel chain drove the taxi throughout the city on a daily basis. Anyone who spotted the taxi had to snap a photo and upload it to Langham Facebook wall. They were then automatically entered to win an exciting trip to London and a stay at The Langham, London, with complimentary airfare provided by Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Working closely with The Langham team we were able to bring their concept to life. We developed and managed an exciting Facebook contest on behalf of the two organizations. By incorporating an interactive design with Langham branding and colors we were able to reveal a Facebook design and contest that embodies the true elegance of The Langham, Boston.
The campaign was a complete success and resulted in a tremendous amount of local buzz and press in the Boston area. In a two-month period The Langham saw their total number of Langham Facebook fans rise 216%.
